What are the basic performance and special performance of the helmet?

We may all use safety helmets in our daily lives. In fact, safety helmets are relatively common head protection products used in the construction industry, machinery and equipment manufacturing, chemical companies, hardware processing plants, and other fields. What are the characteristics of a helmet that meets the standards? Next, the editor of Chengge will sort out and introduce you.

Basic performance:

1. Impact absorption performance

According to the measures required by GB/T2812, the impact test is performed after high temperature (50℃±2℃), low temperature (10℃±2℃), water immersion (water temperature 20℃±2℃), and ultraviolet radiation, and then it is transmitted to the head mold. The force should not be higher than 4900N, and no fragments should fall from the cap shell.

2. Puncture resistance

In accordance with the measures required by GB/T2812, puncture detection is performed after high temperature (50℃±2℃), low temperature (-10℃±2℃), water immersion (water temperature 20℃±2℃), and ultraviolet radiation. Do not touch the surface of the head mold, and there must be no fragments falling from the cap shell.

Special performance:

1. Flame resistant performance

Test according to the requirements of GB/T2812, the duration should not exceed 5s, and the cap shell should not be burnt through.

2. Lateral rigidity

According to the measures required by GB/T2812, the maximum deformation should not be higher than 40mm, the residual deformation should not be higher than 15mm, and the cap shell should not have fragments falling.

3. Low temperature resistance

According to the measures required by GB/T2812, the impact test should be done after low temperature (-30℃±2℃), 3h pretreatment, the force transferred to the head should not be higher than 4900N, and no debris should fall from the cap shell.

4. Extremely high temperature resistance

Perform pretreatment in accordance with the measures required by GB/T2812 or in accordance with Appendix A (the measures required by GB/T2812 are preferred for arbitration inspection), and the impact test shall be performed after extremely high temperature (150℃±5℃) and 1h pretreatment. What is transmitted to the head mold should not be less than 4900N.

5. Electrical insulation performance

According to the measures required by GB/T2812, the leakage current of the G-class helmet should not be higher than 30mA; the leakage current of the E-class helmet should not be higher than 9.0mA. When the detection voltage is increased to 30000V, the helmet should not be punctured and burned.

6. Anti-static performance

According to the measures required by GB/T2812, the surface resistivity should be 1×1000000Ω×10 to the 10th power Ω.

7. Resistance to molten metal splash

Perform testing in accordance with the measures required by GB/T2812 or Appendix B (the measures required by GB/T2812 are preferred for arbitration inspection)
